Tonight I flew to London for the Prudential RideLondon Gran Prix. The race is a 50-minute criterium held on a 2km course that starts on The Mall and finishes with a run-in towards Buckingham Palace. The race, now in year three, is part of the legacy of the 2012 London Olympics.
I am on of three riders that will sport a camera on my bike frame to bring you live race footage during the live broadcast of the race. This is the first time this new technology is being used in a live, outdoor cycling event, and I’m really excited to be one of the riders trialling this rider’s-eye view of all the action – live!
You can read a bit more about the race over on Ella CyclingTips. The BBC2 broadcast starts at 6 p.m. in the UK (which is 7 p.m. for the rest of Europe).
