One week in SA have passed so fast and we have got to experience so much during our stay.
.
The races over there were a bit different from Europe. Straight roads racing from A to B in headwind made the first two stages a bit passive but with hard finals. Coming up to the mountains in Golde Gate National Park made up for it. To race on altitude always  makes me feel good and strong and so I did also this time.

After two 2nd places on the first stages I felt ready for a victory after our transfer/rest day.
To start in the leaders jersey always gives you some extra power, or maybe it was the lions that we visited on the restday?! Anyway I won stage #3 and there it was again… That great feeling to cross the finishline as first!Realize now how much I haved missed it!
.
The team rode awesome the whole week and so also on the last stage, they took control and showed no fear!
.
To bring home the GC and to be able to drink champagne on the last evening was awesome!
Hope it won’t be long til next time!

Oh no! That little tiger is going straight for your quads (can’t watch!!). :-)

First of all, Congratulations to the victory.
You are my role model and I adore your strength to come back so quickly from your injury.
I got a fracture on my coocyx when crash-landed in a ski race this winter. My first thought was that I would never be able to ride a bike again. And never be able to compete in Tjejvättern this year.
Around the same time I read about you and your accident and how you miraculously recovered. I have often thought of you and the pain you must have felt on your workouts/race and today you stand on the podium.
With this in mind, it has led me to fight on, fight the pain and this weekend I will be able to race in Motala. I will not do a super time, Im only a beginner but I’ll be able to take part and it makes me so happy.

    You are the best!
