Last days have gone between big disappointment and thoughts about retiring til a podiumplace in Dottignies and some hope was born again…
The thing that I will bring with me in my heart forever is Heirweg on Sunday during the Ronde van Vlaanderen. So many people had gathered to cheer me on, and not to talk about the decorations!
As they say; a photo say more than thousand words…

Now I look forward to come home to Norway again after quite a rough spring season. A rest mentally is just what I need and when I’m back in Belgium again (in 10 days time) summer will hopefully be here and a new period of racing starts:)

  2. Phil says:

However you choose, I enjoy being a fan and following your updates and experiences on your site. I am grateful for the opportunity to see behind the scenes reports from an elite athlete. Please keep racing!!! You are still missing the rainbow jersey of the world champion. This could be the year. Your accident has forced you to slow for a period and may find you fresher at season’s end!

  3. Peter says:

    Dear Emma,

I can understand your disappointment. Don’t let the doubts get into you, though. Always keep in mind what a great cyclist you are !

Enjoy your stay in Norway ! Once your batteries are reloaded, you’ll be te ‘old’ Emma again : enjoying racing and winning !

    All the best !
