2010.08.11 - Emma
On Friday I´m heading back home to Sweden for a different and very valuable mission.
The 2nd last stage of Ride of Hope is going between Västerås and Uppsala and I will be at the start to join all the beautiful people that are riding their bike as a charity to children that have cancer.
Ride of Hope is a stage race that started on Saturday the 7th of August in Lund (south of Sweden) and ends on the 15th in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. The nine stages are in total 1250km, and you are free to choose if you want to join all of them or just one.
It cost 200 SEK to start and all of the start money goes to the childrencancerfoundation.
So I really hope that I get a lot of company on Saturday!
Start is at 9:00 at ICA Maxi Hälla, Västerås
See you there!
Emma
PS. My guestbook is up going again…

Great to see you at the Ride of Hope Emma …
Already looking forward to next years ride.
All the best for the rest of the season
It’s very admirable what you’re doing to promote awareness on children’s cancer. Thank you for your previous response re: Marianne Vos’ complaints to media on no doping controls at the recent World Cup in Sweden. I bet you’re right in that Vos was probably referring to the Sunday event only. Vos did state she has had only one out-of-competition doping test this year. The press title of the article with her is: “Testing?…what testing? Vos wants more doping controls.” It’s an interesting article. PS: Your English is very, very good and getting better all the time. Practice, practice, practice. Best luck to you in your upcoming races.
Tjohooo..syns i Uppsala! Hoppas många cyklar med.
I wish you good weather, and many participants for charity
