2010.01.26 - News Editor

I closed up the longdistance period of January with 10 hours training in Belgium. Just realized that training in sun is like  “vacation” while rain, mud and cold weather is what really makes it a good and hard training 😉

Saturday morning I left Zingem on my bike to meet up with the team in Gent. 10:30 we sat off on the 2010 circuit of  “Het Nieuwsblad”, 126km and some very interesting changes. The cold weather combined with the rain and the muddy roads made it a hard training and after warming up our toes in the shower the dinner in Zingem was just at it´s place 🙂

After a good nights sleep at Sigginga Haim we were ready for a new day!

Sunday was the “Ronde van Vlaanderen day” and with a little less rain we got to know a circuit that also gave some new changes. New cobble sections that I really like :) and also some new hills.

Two days together with the girls and the staff – And I really look forward to the 2010 season!

A very interesting interview Emma. Only by chance did I watch you win your silver medal (on BBC television) but ever since then I’ve been hooked on cycling. Woman cyclists definately seem to be the poor relations which is wrong , because your races are often more exciting than the men’s. I certainly wish there was more cycling on television here in England. In the meantime I alway have your excellent blogs to read. Good luck for the new season.
