2009.04.06 - Emma
Yesterdays I was 3rd on the race that I really wanted to win this year! My preparations have been done perfect but the weatherconditions made the race to easy… Sun and almost 20 degrees!
We arrived to the finish with a group of 18 riders. Among them the best sprinters in the world. A 3rd place in a bunchsprint from a “non sprinter” is also a good result :)

Thanks to all my supporters that was cheering for me yeasterday. I heard you everywhere!!

First of all; well done in ‘de Ronde van Vlaanderen’!
I watched the men’s race for several hours and after their arrival I saw 30 seconds of the women’s race? Actually it was just the final sprint. What a disgrace ! Why can’t they show some more women’s races and less men’s races. It’s like the Belgian TV thinks women-sports isnt sport (??)
I saw on your racing-schedule that you are coming to Olen, wich happens to be my hometown. So that would be an excellent opportunity to see you in full action. I’m looking forward to it.
