Today’s world cup opening in Italy gave Emma another great results and more confidence.

At 20k from the finish Emma attacked and caught the lonely rider in front, last years winner Emma Pooley.

Marianne Vos followed and closed the gap. Pooley was tired after the whole day solo in front and they left her behind.

Emma started the sprint from the front at 150m to go and got beaten by the former world champion.

About 2min behind followed another duo, Kristin Armstrong and Eva Lutz.

Emma is back on the web for more info and thoughts Tuesday.
