The afternoon stage was different… Earlie in the race an French girl got away alone and she took more than two minutes to the bunch. I really thought that she would make it til the end when nobody reacted. It´s really frustrated sitting there and not be abel to do anything. But then suddely the bunch started to move, and that was fast. Within only some kilometres she was back and the race could start… 10km from the finish!
Last climb, 4km from the finish Naomi Cantele, Bigla attacked very hard and Giorgia Bronzini and I was the only once that could follow. But once again they stopped. A bit frustrated when I´m pretty sure that we would have made it to the finish…
I ended up 5th in the bunchsprint.

Tomorrow it will be the hardest stage from the tour and hopefully no bunchsprint.

Hey Emme, who wants to go to the finish wit an olympic silver medallist? I’m afraid you better get used to these situations… your medal has not olny made an impact outside the peloton. Don’t get frustrated, but keep going and be smart!
Good luck in the hard one today! Bart
