2008.07.12 - Emma
Back training again after 4 well deserved days without touching my bike. Spend my minivacation in Skara, and I did it BIGtime! One day on the beach, one shopping day, dinner with friends, barbecue, ice cream… Started to feel guilty for being lazy and eating to much so going back into my trainingperiod was lovelly! Riding your bike for 5hours a day in beautiful sunshine is the best… that´s how is was before I went back to Belgium. Well here (Zingem) my first ride was spent in pouring rain (Ronny and Leonie thanks for the company), and the next one aswell, and the third… Today the sun finally won the fight against the clouds and I got wet from sweat and not water this time 
Tomorrow I´m racing in Olen, see you there?!?!

Hallo Emma,
Proficiat met uw zilveren medaille. Zo help je ons toch ook een beetje aan een “belgische medaille”. De after-party in de straat achteraf was gezellig. Ik denk dat je nu pas de buren leren kennen hebt. Je bent een mooi,toffe,lieve madam en uw vriend is ook een fijne kerel. Doe zo verder. Veel succes met alles wat je nog doet. Ik hoop dat je nog lang bij ons in de straat en in Zingem wil blijven wonen.

Grattis till denna prestation, Som inflyttad svensk i Belgien har jag dubbel nytta av din prestation i olympiska spelen, inte minst vid diskussioner om “medaljregn” Sverige versus Belgien i jobbet.

Hi, i’m from indonesia…i watched you racing at 2008 olympic cycling time trial…well i say it’s a little dissapointment when you couldn’t win the race…but i must say that you’re the most beautiful racer at that time, even you’re not the fastest….
