2007.03.18 - Emma
First race and a certificate that what I´ve been doing this winter is enough. 16 laps of 6,5km and with 89 girl on the startline I must admit that I was nervous, luckily Martin was there coaching me and calming me down.
With eight riders from the DSB Bank (Netherland) on the start I knew that they wanted to take control of the race so I stayed in the front and waited for a chance to escape with one of them… It took 2 laps til I got away with two riders, one from DSB and one from AA Drink. After that everything happend, a horse in the middle of the road resulted with a crash. I chased back and then three other riders came up from the bunch. Alone with three girls from DSB and two from AA Drink I endend up suffering alot on the last two laps when they started attacking. But a sixt place on my first race of the year is OK, and the whole day in a breakaway is good preparation for next weekend when I´m racing in Italy.

It looks god hey, I know how slow you are the first races of the season…. Your going to be fast this year, but that I allready knew;)
Im In Buenos Ares, today Im going to do some welding on the bus and on monday Im of for Santiago in Chile. I alsow get to spend some time with my Mercedes here in this lovely town:)
